This is the story of our two year preparation to become fulltime RV'ers, and our big, new adventure that began on May 31, 2015. It's just the two of us, and the "fluffy dog", off to see this beautiful country with only the seasons as our guide. A winter base in Tombstone, Arizona, adds another layer to our grand adventure in 2019.

Not the Arizona Desert or the Florida Keys
While we are not yet spending our days and nights in unique and exciting places, our temporary S&B gives us a great view of the morning skies......
Reminds me of those rocket popsicles I enjoyed as a kid.....
Just replace the parking lot with the Gulf and it looks like the after sunset skies we saw last night in Nokomis. No rocket pops for me, I was a fudgesicle girl.
Maybe I can paint a mural along our patio wall and then sit real low.......get a wave sound machine....it could work :-) Would not turn down a fudgesicle for sure!
Jodee, I think you have the most important attribute for being happy and enjoying life on the road because you know how to find beauty wherever you are! :-)
If you want to spend any time in the State Parks in the Keys, in the winter, make your reservations 11 months ahead. Long Key was our favorite, but Bahia Honda, Curry Hammock and John Pennekamp are great too. The $$ difference i substantial compared to the private parks. Reservations at Reserve America . com. You do get charged the full amount when you make the reservation, but if you cancel you are refunded all except $17 reservation fee.
Any view with palm trees against that lovely of a sky is a perfect place to be. :). Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely dresses up the concrete, and makes for a great start to the day!

DeleteWhen you have wonderful company, it's all good! Beautiful!
DeleteNo snow..... I will take almost any view as long as there is no snow!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a couple "dustings" in the last seven years....but nothing we could call real snow :-)
DeleteI am envious, as I just came in from shoveling the driveway...Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAs happy as we were to no longer have a lawn to mow when we moved to the apartment, I can imagine never shoveling snow again would be even better!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Laurel :-) It hasn't always been that way, but I'm so happy I found that a few years ago. Life in general has been so much sweeter!
DeleteYou are right in that you still have a very beautiful sky with palm trees to gaze at.
ReplyDeleteI rarely notice the palm trees except at sunrise - and in a high wind! I suppose we all get jaded with constant exposure :-)
DeleteEach day you get closer!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunrise!!!
:-)))))))

ReplyDeleteVery cool - thanks much for that! We're thinking winter 2016 so will check into dates now.
DeleteWe're more sunset people, but that sunrise sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what is going on with the "sky" because it's looked like this the last few mornings.....but I've missed the sunsets :-(
