Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! Our First Grandchild!

Mommy Shalise and Daddy Brian welcome Baby Ezra
You read about it. You hear about it. People tell you. People you know tell you.

Still, I was unprepared for the flood of emotion when my oldest said "He's here!" There is just no preparing you for your son to be a father. There aren't words.

Ezra was born this morning in Valencia, CA, a few days earlier than planned, very healthy, and happy to see his folks. Especially Mom whose nose he gave a big kiss!

Uncle Jeff and I will fly south to meet the little guy in a few days, while Grandpa and Tessa stay with the rig near Seattle.

With five more sons, we better get used to this :-)
